Browning vs Sako
caliber for caliber, which would you prefer and why

RE: Browning vs Sako
Both excellent rifles but I would have to give the edge to the Sako.
Especially the NEW Finnlite it looks pretty impressive. The Special locking feature on these NEW Sakos' is also a GREAT idea. They are a little more money but I think if you can afford it go for the SAKO and if not there is nothing wrong with the A-Bolt either. |
RE: Browning vs Sako
The sako is definitely made better but does cost a lot more than the browning. The sako 75 is also quite heavy.I personally would prefer a remington 700 to the browning and if I had the budget for the sako would throw in a bit more and have a custom built on a 700 action.

RE: Browning vs Sako
It is very hard to go wrong with a Sako. I'm not sure what a new Browning costs but before I'd buy one, I'd look for a good quality used Sako.

RE: Browning vs Sako
One of the problems of owning a Sako is that you become dissatisfied with almost everything else. Beware.

RE: Browning vs Sako
Have to go with Sako.

RE: Browning vs Sako
Just bought a Sako and hope it shoots to my expectations! I am not sold on the key concept part, but I have not read of any dissatissfied people who use a Sako. Guess I will have to learn how to properly pronounce the name.
