bushmaster varmiter or special

what's the difference between the two rifles? is it just a stainless steel barrel? or is the varmiter more of a match grade rifle since it says it's based off the DCM competition.
is the non-chromed lined barrel a bad thing?

Not really sure... I've been looking at those two rifles for a while. I believe the special is just built from better components.

really? i thought it was the other way around. their website goes into more detail on the varmiter thenit does the special.

I believe the 416 stainless steel barrel adds to the cost and quality of the special. Although, the special platform is only $5 more than the original varminter. Other than the barrel, I believe thats the only difference.
