Beretta Mato

Does anyone here own the Beretta Mato? Or maybe shot one? I saw one at the gun store and I liked it, fit me perfectly. Anyone have any experience with it, pros, cons? I am considering getting one. Thanks.

RE: Beretta Mato

Well it is not offered by Beretta anymore. There was some deal with Dakota Arms on the early ones where they actually made the receivers which were a knockoff of the model 76 Dakota and then Beretta assembled the rifle they sold for about 1600 bucks. I guess they didn' t sell many of them and dropped the price by making the whole thing in house and then put in a Bell and Carlson stock and the one I saw at a Gun show was very well made and swung and pointed beautifully and it was about 850 bucks more or less.
