What makes you think what would work for someone else, would work for you? stop tooting your own horn.

Federal Cape-Shok's with 300 grain Nosler Partitions.... those things are friskey for a 375 H&H!

I pounded two elk in their tracks last fall, one shot each. Neither took a single step after impact.
What a wonderful low recoil "elk hammer."

RE: Favorite .375H&H 300gr load?

I'm hearing about more and more guys using .375 on elk....seen more loads such as 235, 250, 260grs being loaded for them too, though I think why load that far down.....either 270 or 300.

Pretty sure off the bat I'm going to try Remington 300gr A-frames, and probably federal TSX, and maybe federal noslers, or trophy bonded.

I used noslers from my 300winmag on black bear, they worked, though another guy had trophy bonded and those looked pefect after his bear, I think it may be a difference in bullet design/function, ie some are designed for higher weight retention, where as the noslers are said to "dump" their energy into the animal and keep penetrating.

I'm def going to try the Rem Aframes just not sure what else....

I have used 300 Grain Nosler Partitions with great success on elk, as well as hogs

You may want to check out http://www.doubletapammo.com/php/catalog/index.php?cPath=21_45
They have everything from flat shooting 3100 FPS 235 Grain TSX loads to the 350 Grain Woodleigh Weldcore loads for the really big ugly stuff.

I will first say that I have never used a 375 on any thing........ Having said that I don't think an elk, moose, or bison, or even Grizzly, warrants the use of a 300 grain bonded bullet out of a 375H&H. A 270 grain soft nosed bullet would be my first choice here in NA. Much quicker expansion and shock to the animal and if a 270 grain chunk of lead doens't penetrate through a bison then that is one hell of a tough bison. That 260 grain acubond from DT ammo and Federallooks like a real winner as well.

If I were going after Cape buffalo, elephant, rhino with a .375 then these would be my first choice followed up with solids. Or if the H&H were capable of pushing270 - 300 grain bullets to 3000 fps and higher. But not on NA game animals and not at the velocities that the H&H produces. There's just no need to.

375 H&H loaded with 270 grainers will NOT always give full penetration in moose and big bears. Seen it first hand more than once, in fact if much bone is hit, they usually don't exit, and i prefer that they do...

I'd use 300 NP's on big bears, and if i felt i needed more penetration than that, i would give TSX's a try.

Personally, i think 300 NP's are a perfect bulletfor DG in NAwhen using.375 H&H...

ThatIS my favorite .375H&H 300gr factory load....
I gotta tell ya, it whacks them like the hammer of Thor!
Once I find something that works so superbly great, I find little reason to try detune or weaken it.
375H&H doesn't send bullets down range all that fast, kinda nice.... you can eat right up to the hole.
