I think a .338 is a great elk round...
Moose I think I'd like to use a .375
any.300-375 I think would be a fine cartridge for elk/moose. But for elk and bigger, I'd say .338+ would be ideal.

Of the 3 rounds you list I'd take the .325
For my own preference I'd want a 9.3 X 62 or a 375 H&H.
I already have a 30/06 and a 8mm/06, both virtually the same... and if I wanted to step up a bit I'd want to go a fair bit bigger.

Can't say enough about the 35 whelen it is very good out to say 250-300 yards. Its recoil is very manageble, not the hard smack the mags give you.
My favorite 35 cals: 35 whelen, 358 win, 35 rem.

Or just a plain old .30/'06 with 180 or 200-grain bullets.

As long as the "etc." doesn't include something that might eat me, I'll agree with the above...
Just curious... I thought the general consensus was that elk are tougher to kill than moose (even though the moose is a tad bigger). Why .338 for the one that's tougher to kill, and .375 for the one that's easier to kill?
