RE: AR15 questions
Is it the newer A3 model or the older style with the carry handle? If it's like mine, an older style, you'll have to get an adapther to attach the Red Dot or scopes to the carry handle. It is not that expensive of an add-on and can be bought at midway.com among others. The only draw back of the older style with the carry handle is that the scope will sit high above the sight plane.

RE: AR15 questions
You're not giving me much to go on here. Maybe some clarification is necessary?:
1) Which model AR do you own? You say it's an "M4", but I can't tell whether it or not it's a flattop. 2) Are you sure it's not a "Millett" red dot sight? I googled "Millon" and come up empty, unless it's some kind of knockoff of a "Millett"? If your rifle's a flattop and the sight is indeed a Millett, should be relatively simple to attach the sight by means of 30mm "Weaver-style" rings. Check milletsights.com for more info - you may want to request an owner's manual, anyway? If your rifle has the fixed "Carry Handle" sights, there are Picatinny rails made for those as well. One you attach the rail (which are available from numerous manufacturers), same mounting system as you'd use with the flattop, but expect a much higher mount. |
RE: AR15 questions
Its a flat top, weapon is a RockRiver. Sight is a millet red dot aimpoint.

RE: AR15 questions
So, there you have it. Ought to be elementary at this point. I'm not a red-dot user, but I seem to recall some "example" photos of the Millett red-dots mounted on ARs on their website.

RE: AR15 questions
Well I read up on them last night and they say you should let a pro put it on because, of Tsight numbers and it must be level when you put it on... If I had some small levels I'd do it myself.
