DD, what's the safety set-up... can't tell from the pics if you have the military safety of something else... can't quite spot a tang safety or a wing safety or...?

They've been around a very very long time. Most of the old German rifles (sporting rifles) and heck European guns in general had set triggers.

A lot of muzzleloaders, as well as Sharps type firearms of the old west had them as well.

CZ is using them too now... only rather than a double set, they are using single sets... you push the trigger forward to set it... then it breaks like glass around a pound or so. Really really nice set up.

DD that FN is gorgeous... I'm a real fan of Mannlicher Schoenauers, always have been... that FN may well be something I like even better.... in a world of sythetic stocks and new actions and radical ideas... you picked out a classic piece... fine choice.... I'd probably do something along the same lines as you if I were ever to find the means or gumption to. Thanks for sharing the pictures... enjoy it!
