I own a Mossberg 835 Ultimag for turkey hunting but would like to know if there is a rifle barrel available for this shotgun. The reason I would like to get a rifled barrel is due to living about 3 minutes away from NY state I have considered getting my NY hunting license but can only hunt deer with a shotgun in NY. If there is a barrel available about how much can I expect to spend on it?Will it have a cantileverattachment so that I can possibly mount a scope on it?

Yes there is a rifled slug barrel available,I found some on wal mart.com for under &150 with a scope but they were not camo.

yes they make it, I just sold mine. Remember, if your using slugs in this barrel make sure you use 3" or 3.5" shells, not 2-3/4"

why would one want to use 3" or 3.5" slugs only in that barrel?

They now make 3.5" slugs?

I hunted with a rifled barrel when I had my 835 and it acutally shot extremely well. I shot Win supreme sabots 3"
