my 2 favorites are my 10 guage , and my 16 guage shotguns ,
the 10 guage is the ultimate for power and the 16 guage is an excellent compromise for a 12 guage and a 20 guage , now if only they' de make some magnum shells for the 16 guage

yes, .410 is the bore diameter of a .410 shotgun. If it really were a .410ga shotgun it wouldn' t be of much use to anyone.

Way back in the day in Indiana, there was a state record buck killed with a 410. That' s what I hear anyway. The story was something like this,

There was a farmer who had this really mean bull. So he decided to go out and shoot the bull since it was chasing people and he couldn' t controll it. So he took the only gun he had, a 410 shotgun, loaded up some slugs and went to the edge of the pasture and climbed a tree (so the bull couldn' t get to him). And waited for the bull to come by so he could shoot him. As it got late in the afternoon, a huge buck jumped the fence and walked close by the man' s tree, so he shot it. Might as well have some more meat for the pot. Then he got down because by now it was dark and butchered it after dragging it back to his barn. He was about to throw away the rack when he thought that it would be something neat to show his friends. He drove into the nearest town to show his buddys and they couldn' t believe the size of it! Or that he was about to throw it away! It turned out to be a state record at the time and was in the local newspaper. the farmer didn' t even know the people hunted deer! He just killed it to have something more to eat.

I won a Franchi O/U with 20 gauge and 12 gauge barrels at a Ducks Unlimited dinner. That covers just about everything.......
