Help me spend some money! I'm buying a 3.5" auto loader. WHICH ONE?

Which one do you think is the best 3.5" semi-auto for "this and that".

The one that fits you the best and kills that imaginary duck you swing the gun on with your eyes closed. Confidence and gun fit.... 90% of the shooting equation.

If you absolutely must have a 3.5 then you can do no wrong with the Xtrema 2..It has to be the smoothest swinging big gun on the market. I went sporting clays shooting with mine and it does very well on that for a gun that big.

I said Benelli, though I'd consider the beretta too. What's wrong with a rem 1187 ?

If its a 3.5" 1187 it'd be easier to list what isn't wrong with it.

Exactly. With that list of choices you could draw names out of a hat and not lose.

I happen to have a Beretta Extrema and I really like that gun. I had my list narrowed down to it, and the SBE2.Both guns had their pro's and con's. I liked the SBE2 because of it's light weight but I knew this gun would be used for turkey and I also knew that it would probably knock my fillings lose for a gun that's so light. I liked the Extrema because of the feel it had when I put it to my shoulder. It was definitely heavier than the SBE2 but I absolutely loved the pistol grip because it fit my hand perfectly and since I'm still young, I don't mind carrying around a few extra pounds.;)

I like Browning shotguns, so I picked the Gold.

I went through a similar dilemma last year trying to choose an autoloader, at the start i wanted a cheaper model for a fun trap league but asI dug deeper into the process and started handling them I ended up with a Beretta 391 (3" no need for 3.5" as i have a benelli nova pump with 3.5" chamber and never use it for waterfowling). I have flung shot from light trap loads to 3" faststeel and no problems. First shotgun I actually can say "I love" - feels and swings great.

I really like my Browning Gold 10 Gauge, but for this poll, I choose the Benelli SBII.

They are all good - the best thing is to try them all and see what one fits you the best.
