mossberg 835 choke
 

i recently wanted to get into turkey hunting this year. i bought a mossberg 835 waterfowl because it has a lil longer barrel 26.in so i can do other hunting with it. it came with a few chokes but i pattered it with the x full choke. i was happy with the results but wanted just a lil tighter pattern or just see what would happen by trying other chokes. i bought a pure gold tube with .670 constriction. it performed awful and it shot to the right. the primos tight wad did ok. i returned them and bought the factory mossberg x-factor ported turkey tube. and it still didnt perform like the x-full did. i was wondering if by the barrel being ported and the choke tubes being ported it that would change the performance seeing as the x-full choke is not ported. and does anyone else have a less constricting choke and get good patterns. any help would be great.

I have the same gun with a 24" ported barrel, I use the factory Mossberg turkey choke, and the results I get are excellent!!!! I use Winchester Supremes High Velocity 3.5" shells......
