Cheap shotgun ?
What do you consider the best cheap semi-auto shotgun in 20 gage made and why ? I can't afford a Remington 11-87 or 1100

RE: Cheap shotgun ?
I recently asked the same question and in all mylooking around I found that you aren't going to get a real good semi auto with a good reputaion in 20 ga. unless you spend some money. 12 ga. is a little different with more available. The Charles daily, ******, etc. are cheaper shotguns but have tarniched reputations. Look at a used 1100 or 11-87 and you will be happier or just look for a pump.

RE: Cheap shotgun ?
I have a 20 Guage Charles Daly and love mine. I bought it for a back up gun for duck hunting for my Franchi.. Then sold the Franchi after a xmas present of a Browning Cynergy :D.. On open water duck hunts the Browning o/u 12 guage gets the callon timber the 20 Charles Daly is the gun of choice. I have 6 Browning and 1 Charles Daly that I will not sell.. So that should tell you how much I like mine.. :)

In 12 gauge you could try the Stoeger 2000. If they made them in 20 gauge I would buy one but I don't need another 12.

RE: Cheap shotgun ?
I'd keep my eyes open for a used 1100. I'd much rather have a used 1100 than most of the cheaper autos currently on the market.

If you are willing to use a 12ga. Look at the H&R excel auto 5. They go fro $320 new. great gun for the money.

you could try a winchester 1400. I dont own one, but my uncle does and that is main gun he uses for deer and turkey.
