sweet little gun...?
 
OK you guys, i just came from a gun show where i spotted a nice ruger lever action in a winchester 458 mag. this gun actually belongs to a minister at my church and is in fantastic shape. i dont need a gun but this little honey just made my heart go THUMP. anybody out there know anything about this gun? i really want her but i would like to know more about it. he wants 600.00 for it. thanks for any info . lamar

lamar g, are you sure that this gun is a ruger? I thought ruger levers only came in 22rimfire, and 44 mag.
Brownings only go up to 300 win mag.
If they do make a lever that big, it would be a thumper!

big country, yes it is a ruger. it looks new, but the old fella that has it is 90 yrs old. it could be from the fiftys or sixtys the way he takes care of his guns.

I assume, if it is a Ruger, that instead of being a lever action it only resembles one; most likely a Ruger No. 1 single shot with it's Browning High Wall type of appearance, which sort of has a lever type appearance. Ruger has certainly never manufactured a true lever action in .458 WinMag.

..Must be a Ruger no#1 if so and it is mint cond,good price rare caliber..:)..
