RE: .22 LR
I wouldnt want to use any .22lr on a coyote, I am curious if the .22magnum has enough?

RE: .22 LR
Really from your post.....I think the .223 rem is the perfect choice! maybe a tad overkill for squirrels, but def way better coyote medicine, than a .22lr

RE: .22 LR
the mossberg 702 plinkster with 21" Bbl is my favorite .22lr along with a modified 10/22 however, i agree that a .22lr is not an ideal yote rifle. if you're looking to kill a yote i'd go with a cheap AR15

RE: .22 LR
ORIGINAL: mossberghunter93 does the ruger 10/22 have coyote killing power Yes. If you keep your shots inside 75 yards, and use HV ammo, such as stingers or velictors.... it'll wear em out. A .22 Mag will definately get the job done...... as will a .17 HMR. |
RE: .22 LR
im getting both

RE: .22 LR
My wife has the Marlin and loves it and it shoots extremely well but has a very stiff trigger. It is not as heavy as the 10/22 and that is a + for her because of her small size. If you'll want to trick your 22out in the future you need to get the 10/22, the options are tremendous for it and there's basically nothing you can do with the Marlin other than shoot it..

RE: .22 LR
Consider a henry lever. Inexpensive, accurate, great looking and fun. I've owned a 10/22 also and have no complaints except I pounded alot more ammo with it(beeing a semi auto).
