congrats, the BAR is a nice rifle, accurate and dependable. i love my .308 BAR LWT, you may find it to be the rifle that you take hunting most of the time because it is such a good rifle and it seems almost perfect for the area that you hunt in. are you going to scope it?

no i am not. gonna put some peep sights on her. for where i will be using this gun my shots will be under 40yds and i find i can find the target alot faster with peep sights.

nhten.

i buy all my guns in maine at kitterytrading post. they are alot cheaper and have a better selection. the people in MA. gun shops i find are pretty expensive.

as far as i know ashely outdoor peep sights are the only ones made for the BAR. but if i could choose it would be williams. but i will have to see hwo these sights work first.i know i have to change the front sight as well.

Way to go Quilly, Congrats on your new baby.I' m still waiting on my BAR " Stalker" to get back from Browning' s Service Center.Incase you want an extra magazine go to Cabela' s on line. They have the MKII magazines for 42.99. Cheaperthendirt gets right at 50.00 for theirs.I believe they were 48.99 or 49.99.Browning' s model number is 1020081 Cabela' s #22-3421 . That' s for a BAR MKII 270/30-06 4shot magazine.

ruger..

i have found out when buying a browning to buy one with the gun. took me 1 year to get an extra magazine for my abolt. but i did order two already and recieved them earlier than the gun itself. but thanks anyways for the heads up. i might just buy one more.

quilly,
if you have time have the trigger pull measured. I' d like to know what Browning sets it to.

Quilly 02-21-2003 03:33 AM

RE: she' s in ! !

browning says 4lbs. they set it at.
it does have some creep to it. i am gonna have it set a 3&1/2lbs.
