.204 ruger

ive heard that its a great long range caliber, however ive heard that they can go so fast that at closer ranges, they wont do anything more than poke a little hole into a coyote, whats your oppinion on it?

do you think i should just go with a .22-250 or a .243 instead for my coyote rifle(that i still dont know im getting haha)

RE: .204 ruger

I have one and love it. Its a great flat shooting little cartridge but the light bullet has alot of wind drift. As for it not expanding ive never heard of that hapening or seen it happen. If you plan on just hunting Coyote i would go with a 22-250 or 243. The 204 is a little on the small side for them for longer shotsbut dose work well out to 200 yards.
