i really would like to hunt coyotes with the gun i get though...........and the .22 magnum can be used for them and on smaller game like squirrel and rabbits...........i will consider getting a 10/22 but i really like the .22 magum

The Handi-Rifles are between $230-and $250 depending on where you buy them, possibly could get them cheaper. My friend uses the Handi-rifle in .243 for yotes, he slapped a 3x9 scope on it. It is very accurate. But seeing as you want to use it for squirrel and rabbits i'd go with the .17HMR. You can def. reach out and touch yotes with it, it won't destroy the pelt and it is smalle nough to use on rabbits and squirrel. No need to be firing .223 rounds all over the woods for squirrel or rabbit.

.17hmr for rabbits and squirrels?????????? i thought those things ripped small game up and you shouldnt use them

Depends on the bullet, the 20g xtps hold together prettywell. Besides they are plenty accurate for a head shot, at 150 yards!

The pointy ballistic tips will cut a squirrel clean in half.

are .17hmr bullets or .22 magnum bullets more expensive?

check out Gunbroker dot com it's an online gun auction site you might check out you can prbably find something nice on there for $200
