Beretta 390 you know the

one Walmart sells. I happened to be in a Walmart that is the only one out of 5 in my area that still sell guns. They have a closeout on Beretta 390's. WHat is the deal with these guns? Are they like the 3901 statesman that is made in the US?

I've owned a 390 for a few years now and it has been a great gun. I don't really know the difference between it and the 391.

That's the same thing I have heard repeatedly that they are great guns.. I don't think there is a lot of difference between it and the 391 except the shape of the receiver and the valve. What's funny is the Walmart gun is MADE IN ITALY and the 3901 series guns are American Made yet the American gun costs 200+ more dollars at most gun dealers. I would rather have the italian made gun.

I have the regular 390 and a couple of buddies have the Wal-Mart special 390, the only real differences are the synthetic stock and the magazine cut off. They are great guns and will handle pretty much anything in 2 3/4 and 3", even the target loads. In the book it recommends a minimum load to make the action cycle (I think it is 1 1/8 oz), but I have shot everything from 7/8 oz target loads to turkey loads and never had a problem. They will digest thousands of rounds and keep on going, even without cleaning. Mine has gone through several cases of shells in a day without cleaning and kept on shooting. I know for a fact most of the domestic guns will not do this, because I have seen them jam next to me. If you can get one for a good price, I would say jump on it.
