45 ACP ammo prob

I've noticed that some of my ammo has the bullet pushed back into the casing... I load and unlooad my mags a lot to relieve the tension on the mag springs... I'm really thinking that I'm actually pushing the bullet back into the brass as I'm loading the last 2 rounds into the mag... Due to the fact that the last 2 rounds are the hardest to push into the mag... Has anybody ever noticed this???

Yes... Remington 230gr hollow point ammo... I guess another question would be... Would it be ok to still fire this ammo???

I would not fire them. I would talk to Remington about the problem. I think under recoil the bulllet is setting deeper into the case due to a very slight tapper crimp. Have you ever had this problem with a different brand of ammo? Good luck.

This is the first time I've heard of such a thing with factory ammo. It happens with reloaded ammo now and then and is best cured by running the ammo through a taper crimp die.

I would suggest you not shoot it either as the farther you shove a bullet in the case, the more it raises your pressure when fired. Contact Remington. I think they will be VERY glad to relieve you of this ammo and replace it. Something is wrong and they will want to separate you from this pronto. Give them the lot # etc off the box when you call.
