Win. 70 Coyote and WSM

1. Does anyone own a Winchester 70 Coyote? If so, how do you like it? How does the push feed compare to the CRF? I' m interested in the Coyote in .308 and the 70 Classic Sporter.

Edit - Read the post below about WSMs.

Thanks.
Love the site.

I bought a Winchester Coyote about a year or two ago.I wanted in 223. I' ve shot it a few times at the range . I was using old reloads I loaded back in 1982. I can' t even remember what I loaded them with. It was grouping about 1.5" @ 100yards.I was using some PMC, and Winchester ball with about the same results.I' m sure with a worked up load it would do much better. As far as the rifle it appears to be very well made and the fitting of parts is excellent.Even though I' ve only used it a few times,I would recommend one.It is a heavy rifle.Check out the
Ruger M-77VT.......Simular to the " Coyote" .

Over on 24 Hour Campfire a poster in the rifle forum under 270WSM thread reports taking two Winchester Coyotes and mounting Leupolds on both box stock guns and shooting 16" amd 18" groups at 1000yds with handloaded matchkings.Reported they got .5MOA out of the guns at 500yds.Thats pretty respectable accuracy out of untuned rifles right out of the box. They were in 270WSM caliber.Course hes a 1000yd benchrest shooter.

Go to shortmags.org there is some topics there on the coyote but in wsm calibers, they seem pleased with there rifles, i wouldnt mind haveing one in 243 wssm if the round is as accurate as it suppose to be.

I doubt you' ll be disappointed in the Winchester COYOTE in push feed.....The CRF is way overrated in my opinion and I actually prefer it because it' s a action capable of holding in far geater pressures.
