Weatherby SA-08 Autoloader
On one of my way too frequent trips to the gunstore I ran across a Weatherby SA-08 Semi Autoloader. It's priced 600+ and change. Same store is a Beretta Master Dealer and he had a Benelli Montefeltro. It was in the 900+ range. Both 12 gauge guns. I really like montefeltros but it seems that everytime I try to buy one some other rifle or shotgun pops up and distracts me. I picked up both and swung both and looked them over carefully and if I were blindfolded I couldn't tell the difference. I actually preferred the feel of the Weatherby. I then went up the street about 2 miles and went to a Browning Master Dealer or whatever they are called. BTWThis town is a gun lovers dream they have 2 super gun stores within 2 miles of each other , a few really good gunsmiths and a 1000 yard riflerange. They had an Italian Weatherby Semi-auto which I picked up and it felt deadand the Turk felt alive. I guess what I am trying to say is in this age of super fast designing with the end product hitting dealer shelves in minimal time thatthere are too many darn nice guns to pick from. The Weatherby made in Turkey is a fine shotgun IMHO.
