T/C Encore pistol owners ......
 

I,m looking at buying a T/C Encore Pistol, most likely pro hunter .
I,m looking at the 7mm-08 in 15" barrel .
Looking at shots on deer up to abought 150 yds or so .
Just curious on what you guys and gals are using on your pistol for a scope as far as brand , and size .
Also are you using a pistol or rifle scope ??
I had a Savage Striker witha 2-7x32 pistol scope , but it seemed to have to much eye relief for a gun that big .
Any advise or comments ??? Thanks....

I have a T/C contender with a Bushnell Trophy 2-6x32 that works out pretty nice. At the range 200 yard shots arent all that bad and I think the eye relief is pretty nice. On a .223 barrel I have a ncstar 2-7x28 that could use a little more eye relief. I dont think you could have too much eye relief.

[/align]pistol scopes...you really couldn't use a rifle scope on a hand gun. Make sure you get an EER (extended eye relief) or LER (long eye relief) scope.

I have a weaver efr 2.5x-8x mounted on my 15" 7mm08 barrel,and a burris efr 3x-12x ao on my .22 centerfire barrels.

I've known guys to use rifle scopes on pistols, but normally only rimfires. The pistol scope is a LOT safer.

I prefer the Leupold pistol scopes. I find a lot of the cheaper pistol scopes don't have a long enough eye relief for my long arms.

I have a Leupold FX-2 2x20 on my pistol. Really pleased with it.
