savage and houge stocks question....

Maybe I didnt search hard enough, but I cannot come up with a answer for this one....

I got a savage 12FV in 22-250,outstanding tackdriver for the money, but the stock is pretty weak and cheesey.

...So I really like the Houge overmold stocks, but my question is...

all houge stocks ive seen (on there website)say "savage 110"

now if I got a houge short action/varmit barrel stock would that fit a model 12FV?

pretty much are those stocks interchangeable? thanks much

RE: savage and houge stocks question....

I would call or Email Hogue directly for fit issues. I am considering getting one for my 16 in 243. I see saw they are new for this year.

RE: savage and houge stocks question....

No, the 3-digit model numbers (110, 111, 112, 114, 116) are long action and the 2-digit model numbers (10, 11, 12, 14, 16) are short action. Not interchangeable. I believe Hogue does make for both long and short action, but as suggested earlier, I would e-mail or call Hogue directly to be sure.
