Way to go Remington
 

I bought a Remington LH 700 VSF a while back. The rifle had a $50 rebate, but I forgot to send the rebate form in. I got around to sending it in the first week of Feb. Believe it or not I got my $50 check in the mail today. No hassles and no problems, just $50. I was pleasantly surprised. Tom.

Sad part is that nobody will remember this tomorow whenpeople are bashingRemington, or some other brand, about customer service.

Bought a firing pin/bolt shroudassembly to replace the "Wart" that was on my 700. It was a 7SAUM and they shipped L/A part. I called their customer service line and told them this and they charged my card again and got the replacement 5 days later and the refund for the first order30 days later. So I had about 150 dollars in a 75 dollar part because of the way they do business and 30 days is ridiculous considering it was their mistake in the first place. I had problem with an 1100 buttstock and they sent me a new part in 5 days no question asked. They had my 700 KS for 3 months on a gun that obviously fell thru their QC . The gun would not extract and their dealer here told me it was my problem since I fired the gun . Might be the reason I stay away from them like I do. They have mixed quality controland customer service.

I've never had an issue with Remington's service department. Never a bad issue that is. Problem is that 5-6 years ago you NEVER had to send a Remington back for repair... now half their new semi-auto shotguns go back... and even a few 870s..... how can you break an 870 in less than 2 years!!!!! Madness!

Thats what Im wondering Swamp...I didnt think it was possible to ever break an 870. I cant ever remember anything going wrong with them and thats almost all anyone around here uses.
