Which Gun
#504

I've got a browning m86 in .45-70 which I'd hate to give up; I can hit tennis balls at about 75 yards free-standing with iron sights. I love this rifle.
I've never had a Sako that was anything other than a dog...had 2 of 'em, a Finnbear Deluxe with a Zeiss scope in 7mm RemMag that could not shoot closer than 1.5", even with 'benchrest' care in reloading... I sold it to a sucker. The other one, is a Sako Finnbear (c 1950's with serial number under 1000) in .270Win...this piece of junk must shoot from a fouled bore. So, I clean the rifle barrel, put 15 shots thru it to foul the bore, then the next 10 shots can be covered with a dime. From the 11'th shot on, the group opens up again. Piece of JUNK !!! I'll never buy another Sako again.
I guess the Swedes use 'em for moose because they're big as a school bus and you can shoot 'em so close the muzzle blast will burn off all the hair and cook 'em for you too.
I guess after it's all said and done, I'd take my Winchester M70 in .30-06 sporting a Kahles 1.5-6 scope. What a rifle/scope combo ! (Post-64 M70).
It would and usually is my 1st choice hunting rifle.

What a terrible thought! I guess if it was only one gun, it would have to be my Remington 11-87 because a shotgun is probably the best overall solution.
If it was one Rifle, of my rifles I guess I'd choose my Tikka 695 in .30-06 just because of the calliber. I'd sure miss my 6.5x55SE, my .308...
