i,d have to choose my rem. 700 classic in 6.5x55. fell in love with this cartridge when i was gunsmithing full time and never looked back. have taken elk ,deer ,and exotics. never had to use more than 1 shot.

If I had to keep one gun for everything......squirrels to black bear,it would be a remington 700 in.............30-06.Personaly,I like the 300 and 338 mags,but they isnt anything in the South that the tried and true 30-06 wont kill.I hate to admit it,but all I really need is a 30-06.It may sound boring,but it works.......or at least would.Right now since I dont have to give up all but one gun,Ill keep that 300mag......and the 30-06.....and the............:D
