I was given my first gun, a .308 Winchester after I shot my first deer. I have have nothing but good things to say about Winchester. Basically that is what all my guns are.

I'd have to stick with a Savage in .308. Has been a better overall value than either of my 700's. Once you get the trigger adjusted they are fine. Inexpensive and stick with .308 for easy availability.

Win 70 stainless synthetic in .300 Win Mag. Grew up reading Keith & O'Conner so I'm partial to Win 70's. I Really like the simplicity of the bolt disassembly and the low maintenance of stainless / synthetic. I've got a .270 & .375 right now but with premium bullets would try to cover both ends with the .300 Win Mag. I'd load it down about 200 fps for comfortable recoil (unless I was shooting long shots) and use 150 /165 grns for whitetails & mulies, then load it all the way up and use premium 180 /200 grns for elk, moose, & grizzly.

A SBE 2 slug gun with a spare 26'' smooth barrel and fiber sights on both if I could pick any.

I it was something I own my beretta pintail with 24'' slug barrel
and 28" smooth barrel with choke tubes.

I figure I could use either for everything turkey deer upland ect. But one is never enough.

I would be lost with only one gun. Choosing one out of all I have is almost impossible. I would say my Browning Auto V Sweet 16ga. would stay. My first real shotgun from my Grandfather at age 7. It will take all the ducks squirrels and turkey or deer I can eat. If a rifle was allowed it would be my Weatherby Mark V in 257 Weatherby Magnum with a Leupold VXII 3-9X40. It is the flatest shooting of all Weatherby calibers and with the right bullet and a competent marksman, capable of taking any game animal on the North American continent. Roy Weatherby preferred the 257 over all others as his favorite and even used one to take a very large Polar Bear. I would also fight to keep my H&K 93 and the equipment with it including all the high capacity magazines I can fill up. It would be to persuade anyone wanting to tell me I can only have 1 gun that it is not a good idea to restrict a gun nut to one gun. I would use my ol' slab side Colt Commander to enforce the idea of having numerous other pistols and long guns is my business and no one elses. God Bless the NRA and our Troops. Bush/Cheney 2004!!!
