We have an old Ithaca 12 ga. pump that used to belong to my grandfather. I've shot quite a few shotguns and it is definitely the smoothest shooter I've handled. You can hold it upright, hit the release and the slide will almost fully drop. Because of its age you can't put steel shot through it, but it's definitely my favorite.

Great giggly wiggly, why do you have to make this question so hard? I guess if I had to pick only one it would be the Browning A5 "Sweet Sixteen" my dad gave me. I could shoot slugs or buckshot for big game, and still hunt birds and rabbits with it. But please, oh please Lord, never let it come to the point where I had to go down to just one!!!;)

I'm new to the HuntingNet forums and figured the best way to check in was with the "Which Gun" Poll.

I'd have to pick my new Browning BAR in .30-06. Fun to shoot, versitle, wide range of ammo you can buy anywhere, absolutely endless reloading options, and best of all, mine is very accurate.

Don't have a pic of the gun yet, but here is a 100Yd 3 shot group I shot with it this past weekend that measured .35" CTC. Can't wait to get out and hunt with it this fall.

Of those you list, I'd have to say Sako, followed closely by Benelli.

In the more affordable rifles, Tikka is wind best in quality, design and accuracy out of the box, hands down. Why wouldn't you list Tikka?

i would keep the same gun as yours. i think one of the good times to hunt is when it rains. Because if you to stand on something the noise of the rain. Would muffle the sound you make. what about you when do you prefer to hunt.?
