remington model 700 sps DM and 700 sps stainless
hey what do you think of these rifels. and do they have the same bad stock as the remington 700 sps tactical rifel.

ive got the sps stainless in .308but havnt been able to shoot it yet (no scope) i heard good things about it before it bought it

the stainless just has extra corrosion resistance on the action and firing mechanism. I forget the terminology that they use.The SPS, SPS DM and the SPS SSdo all have the same stock with the exception of the floorplate opening which depends on the model you get. The tactical is a slightly different stock in appearance if i remember correctly

I have an SPS SS in 2506, works for me. Stock is better then the likes of the savage tupperware stocks they include and similar to others such as tikka, browning, etc IMO. None of themhold a candle toMc Millian,etc but they are functional for most users. I could do without the grip inserts on the SPS does nothing for me in handling or looks, just my opinion. As far as functioning and shootinggoes nocomplaint. R3 pad included bonus.
DM is the same stock, just no hinged floorplate. I have M700 DMwith no complaints. Spare/replacement clips are less then the other manufacturer's. |
