Win Mod 12 diff in forearms of 12 & 20 guage?

Anyone know the difference between the Winchester Model 12 forearm stock and the one on the 20 guage model 12? I know that one won't fit on the other but how do you tell the difference. There is one for sale but it's over the internet and I can't see it to fit it. I can only see a snapshot of it on the web and ask the owner some questions about it. I'm looking for one for a 1958 Winchester Model 12 12 guage.
Thanks in advance,
droptine

GOD BLESS

DG,
Drop your email. I would like to have a look at those forearms you have. This one I'm looking at is on ebay. I don't know what it will go for yet. I may be looking for a butt stock for the model 12 also. Do you have one of these? If you have pictures, you can scan them and email them to me. Thanks. The guy who has it for sale doesn't know the difference between the 12 and 20. I guess the 12 would have to at least have to have a 12 guage shell fit in it plus a bit of clearence fo the mag tube.

GOD BLESS

I' ve been reading a book on the Model 12 and I guess there was a difference in forearms for the 12 gauge around 1935(?). I' ll have to get the book out and check out the actual date.

My Model 12 was made in 1917, and I love it. What a smooth operating gun it is.
