Janssen & Sons side by side 12 ga.
 

Hi everybody, i recently came into possesion of an old Janssen & Sons double barrel 12 ga. Unfortunatly its in pretty rough shape. It needs alot of work but it think it should turn out nice. But, the biggest problem is that i need both rabbit ear hammers for it. The one is completely missing, while the other is broken at the neck of the hammer. If anyone knows where i could buy some of the components for this it would be greatly appreciated.

Your looking at a tough find. You may be able to have someone make them for you, but I doubt you'll find an original. This gun is probaly close to a 100yrs old, and I wouldnt shoot it for safety reasons. I do love the look of those doudle hammers though!

I'm not sure if Dixie Gun Works is still operating or not, but they used to have TONS of old gunparts. Try typing the name in on the Internet, and see what happens.........

Hang it over your fireplace and forget about restoring it.

It was your great grandpa's and it means a bunch to you to be able to shoot it and you have plenty of cash in your pocket and you are luckey when it comes to finding odd parts
