I once had one that was rebored from .33 WCF to .45/70 (the .33 bore was ruined). It shot very nicely, with commercial 405-grain loads, and a 400-grain bullet with 53 grains of IMR 3031 (the Elmer Keith load). This load had coniderable recoil, but the 405 grain factory load was very mild. You will like it, I'm sure!

Unfortunately that crescent butt pad will kick you pretty hard. If I were you I would get rid of that rifle pretty quick. Call me, I will help you get rid of it right away. Tom.
