We shoot regular .22 plinking targets etc. She wants to move up in cal. and there are a few nice options in the paper I was looking at purchasing. We are going to be taking concealed carry classes soon. Thanks for your advice.
She likes the feel of the smaller handguns but wants them to pack a punch also.

Ive read about the kahrs but never actually held one. Are they thick and fat in your hands like lets say a glock?

I was looking at the Taurus titanium pro brand also...very light and fit in her hand very nicely.

My fiance is tiny (I bought her a size four ring) and the car was good for her. The Taurus is another good size but I have heard some bad reviews on them though. But have never tried one for myself.

i bought my my fience' a taurus mil/ and she really likes it. its in 9mm. i wouldnt go any bigger than that with your friend either. it will doalmost as good as my sig 40 with a little less kick. there is a ton of great self defence rounds out there for the9mm as well. if our police force didnt already issue me a 40 cal i would have stuck with the 9 as well becauseof mag/ cap.jmo. good luck

Yea I figured why go smaller or largerthan 9mm...some people say it isn't enough stopping power and they need .45cal etc.
It's all about shot placement, you can down a human with a .22 if you hit them in the right spot. I figured the 9mm would fit what we are looking for just right. Not alot of kick but enough power to get the job done, pretty inexpensive to shoot at the range or in the woods also.

Another to check out is th PPK, it's a nice small 9mm. One of my daughters was a sherriff deputy in Texas for a while, she didn't patrol, just worked in the office at the jail, but she was required to carry and qualify. She has pretty small hands and she liked my S&w model 39 semi auto. I think they still make a version of it now, but I'm not sure. With the personal defense ammo available now, I wouldn't feel under gunned at all with a 9mm. I keep a .380 with federal premium personal defense rounds for a home defense weapon.

Revolver or Semi Auto?

I've read and watched alot of videos saying one is better than the other, I guess it is up to personal preference. I like the reliability of the revolver but the fast reload of the semi auto handguns.

jmo butif you haveto reload asemi auto(holding ten round+)you either already scared him off or your screwed anyways because you cant hit your target.people who are going to get past ten rounds will get past 20.people get so worked up on "my self defence gun"doesn't hold enough round etc. in most cases(and even these are rare) after 1-2 shots you have either scared him off or he is out for the count.he not going to keep comming at you. again these are just my opinion but i hope this helps.

That is so true...after 2-3 shots it should be over. Mightest well carry a AR with barrel mags if you can't get the job done in 2-3!

The Kahrs are thin due to the offsetside feed(.98 wide) but they take some break in time 150-275 rounds to funtion at there best,I have owned the CW9 witch I sold for the S&W 908,I still have the CW40,they are very nice for IWB very little bulk and you dont need a bigger waist pants to wear them,they also conceal nice with a OWB and sweater or untucked T-shirt No bulk and there are really nice if you are going to wear a shoulder holster.....
