Opinions on winchester model 70 .223wssm

I have a friend selling one of these for cheap. Im not sure whether to trade it in or keep it. I have a 22-250 and 223, what do you guys think about the .223WSSM round? pros and cons?

Ive never shot a 223 WSSM i did shoot a 25 WSSM and it wasnt anything special. A 25-06 dose the same thing for less cost to shoot.

He is probably selling it for cheap because it isn't worth anything.

Barrel burner. The four WSSMs I have shot (two .223, one .243 which I owned, and one .25) none of them shot anywhere close to as good as their standard length predecessors. Just my experience.

They still have those? I thought they were dead. If you reload and its super cheap, go for it.

I think the .223 WSSM mimics the .22-250 ballistics, and is going to be a dead cartridge within 5-10years if not already. If you didn't have a .223 already and were getting it at a steal, I'd probably tell you to still not buy it.
