Browning A-Bolt Slug Gun

Anyone have any idea WHY Browning quit making this gun? They were only made for a year or two at the most. They were available with a walnut stock, blued barrel, and a synthetic stock with blued barrel as well. Both were completely free floated with adjustable triggers. I have one and it is a real shooter! I just wondered if anyone knew why they ceased production?

TN, the price was high compared to the Mossberg, Savage, and Marlin bolt action slug guns!! I agree with you, if they still made them I'd buy one myself!! Most gun magazines rated them #1 in the accuracy department compared to all the other production bolt action guns. This Browning would also give that Tar-Hunt slug gun a good run for the money as well!! I agree, too bad they stopped making it!!

i went to buy one and was told they stopped making them because of a problem with the barrel.once they fixed it they made a decision to discontinue it.i've looked for used ones and can't even find one. you can get aftermarket rifled barrels for them thru a gunsmith
