Those are very expensive sabot slugs designed for rifled barrels only. DO NOT shoot those through your gun. They will not crush as they go through the choke. Not to mention they are like 15 bucks for five rounds and won't shoot worth a darn in that gun, if it doesn't bulge the end of your barrel when they come out.

Don't waste your money on any kind of sabot slug for use in a smooth-bore barrel. Even if they cause no damage, the bullets (such as that SST) will just keyhole, and go nowhere near the target!

I have had excellent accuracy in my Ithaca Deerslayer with Remington Foster type slugs, and a friend of mine got good performance from the Brennekes in his Remington 870. You need to try out several different brands of slugs to see which make shoot best in your gun.

Yes, you can. A lot of folks say no but most manufacturers say you can. I've shot slugs in my M-12 full choke as well as an Ithaca. They both shot the Foster slugs pretty accurately! I had a single barreled shotgun made up with a cylinder bore that wasn't as accurate as my good old Winchester M12.

Are you sure the groves were not the rifling?
