I can't imagine anyone walking through a load of copper plated #4 shot at close range even from a 410 and in all actuality any shots made in self defense most likely will be at very close range or someone will have a lot of explaining to do to the police. I have seen the demo of it on TV where the guy fires 2 rounds at a plywood perp from the the driver's seat of a vehivle outthrough the open passenger window and it put a couple of pretty impressive holes through the plywood perp. I don't think human skin and tissue is a tough as plywood. While on the Fire Dept I had to do 4 years on the ambulance andI had the opportunity to see what a 410 does to a human body fired at very close range and it is ugly.

Well he didnt get it so much for self defense against humans as he did againts snakes down atthe pond. Thats where the .410 comes in handy.

hegot the 6.5" barrell i believe, i still havent seen it yet, but i can just about garantee ill bemaking more use of it than he.lol

My thoughts on the use of this is simple.. If a perp comes into the house and I am there.. The 45 is just fine. I can hit him from accross the room.. But if someone comes in and I am not in the house.. I am not sure my wife will be able to hit them with a single bullet.. Chances are she will be extremely scared.. So I told her.. first 2 shots to the face with either #4 then follow up with 3 45's to finish em off..

ya i agree i am kinda the same way
i had a friend in ky that had a guy stalking her she bought a 9mm

she asked me how many time to shoot him
i said unload the mag and let good sort it out
