I have been on the hunt to fondle one myself. Not sure I like the detached polymer mag. But will have to wait and see. But not sure I like the mags on my A-Bolts either.

I wonder why they felt the need to have 4 holes for each scope base. Anyone know.

Good question and probably a nightmare for Talley and whoever else is making their bases. They would have to have a pretty concentric mounting base on that receiver for this to fly.I am assuming they are 6-48 threads they should have just gone with (2) 8-40instead. The thing I like the most about it is the trigger it ought to be a good one

Talked to the local gunshop and they said it would be March or April when they started getting their order of X-Bolts in.

OEH, do you think the mag will be an improvement over the old one? I never liked the old one but never had trouble with it.

Is the new mag going to be a polymer mag like a Tikka? I guess I haven't heard the particulars on it yet.

I like the old style mags just fine-they have X spring instead of W spring like rem/savage/win/mauser 98/ruger.

Won't know until I have a look at one but I don't like the polymer look one bit...The old magazine system was not that bad and one can get used to it. Inever heard of anyone having problems with theirs
