RE: Savage 14 American Classic *heavy Pics*
Very sharp gun. Savage made a good move with the American Classic.

That is a sweet looking gun. I have been thinking about getting one in 7mm-08 for next year.

It looks like Savage is making efforts at shedding the "ugly but accurate" reputation. That one ain't ugly at all! A little over a year ago I was looking at getting a Savage, but I got my CHL and kind of got sidetracked on handguns, holsters, etc. I think you mayhave re-sparked my interest. I was also looking at the 7mm-08.
How much did you pay? C. Davis |

Nice rifle ,I have almost the same one with a leupy too. Mine was a 111 7mag with a hinged floor plate, I got it new in a trade. I bought a 114 walnut stock for mine and now it gets alot of compliments at the range. Savage makes good rifles not to mention very accurate.

Looks really nice. I have the the 114 in .3006, but mine is about 1.5 years old so it has the old style bolt release and the firing pin/sear on the right side of the rear receiver and the old notched barrel nut. Same stock and double to single stack detachable magazine. I like my rifle, but it's not as pretty as yours is with the new receiver and nut but it's wicked accurate with cheap factory ammo. Look out Remington, Savage is coming for you!:):D
I wouldn't mind having one, but my next rifle's going to be a Browning BAR. Mike |

I just noticed that that receiver looks a lot like the recently introduced benchrest actions, only with the ejection port opened up and cut out for magazine feed rather than single shot.
