Decided on the Ruger .204, but what brand?

Shooting a .220 Swift, I am hooked on speed!
Decided a new Ruger .204 is going to be my next gun, but where do I start on looking for a brand? When I got my .17 there were only a couple that could be relied on 100% and got great reviews, where do I go for .204 info?

Here's a pretty good site on the .204 http://www.rugerhunting.com/forum/

Savage, Kimber, Cooper, Ruger,CZ, Remington are a few that make rifles in the .204 Ruger

I have a CZ and love it. I have not herd of a CZ that is not accurate. It shoot at 1in at 200 yards all day.

The new Remington R-15 VTR is offered in the .204. Might be a little pricey and not 100% reliable, but it sure would be a sweet gun.

If you want to save a $ or two, H&R chambers the 204 in a couple of models. I bought a Handi-Rifle late summer 2007, and it is my favorite rifle to shoot by leaps and bounds.

Why don't you think it would be reliable?

Thanks guys, I did see that .204 forum and read through a bit, figured this question would have been pretty redundant over there.
That Remington R-15 is very cool, but here in Canada it is considered a restricted weapon, making it illegal to hunt with.
I have my eye on the Ruger #1 Varmint, http://www.rugerhunting.com/ruger_1_varmint.php

But do not know of it's reliability or consistent accuracy.

It might not be 100% reliable because it is a semi-auto and there's always the possibility that it could jam, even if it is a very well-made firearm and in all reality has very little chance of jamming. I don't mean to imply that the VTR is not a reliable gun, and I'm not trying to slam the VTR in any way (I wouldn't mind having one myself).;)

Okay, I see what you mean. I thought you might have had some inside info about the VTR. ;)

You might check out the Rugers themselves. One thing to consider is that they have the scope base milled into the gun and come with scope rings. This can save a few bucks. I have a M77 in 270 and it is a fine bolt action rifle.
