Beretta Extrema 2
My Beretta Extrema 2 is having trouble ejecting 3.5" shells. It cycles and ejects 3" shells fine. What happens is the gun will fire and the spent shell will become lodged between the bolt and the ejection port on the side of the gun. Do any of you have any experience with this? If so, how did you fix it? I have checked the gas ports inside the barrel, whichare clear, and I have also checked the piston, which is also squeaky clean. So I am clueless why this gun chokes on 3.5" shells. Any advice is much appreciated.

RE: Beretta Extrema 2
How old is the gun and have you fired a lot of shots thru it, what kind of ammo? I have never had problem from day one with my Extrema 1.

RE: Beretta Extrema 2
The gun is almost two years old. I would say that it has had between 1,000 and 1,500 shells fired through it. So it's not worn out or anything.Imainly shoot 3 inch, Winchester DryLok #3 or #2shells through it. I have also used it on dove shoots, in which caseI shoot 2 3/4" dove loads. The gun has no corrosion, rust, or any type of fouling anywhere on it. It has been very well maintained.

RE: Beretta Extrema 2
I don't know what you call it but it is probably the piece that goes ito the butt of your gun when it chambers a new round. The long piece of metal that comes off the back of your bolt goes into a small tubular piece that goes into the butt of your gun. Everytime I've had a problem with a gas shotgun chambering a round, that's what is was. Just clean it up and lube it with a tiny bit of oil and work it in and out, then remove excess oil with a rag. I do this everytimeI clean my shotgun. I'll bet a dollar you don't have another problem after that!! Good Luck!
