You can't do it like a 700 or sako 75 bolt. You need a tool to hold the spring back where on the 700, you can put a dime in the slot. I looked into this a while back. And Browning says send it back to them if you want to do that. I tried and tried to figure out how to make a tool to do it and gave up.

I read somewhere the procedure to do this and didn't bookmark it.. ANyway i have since given up on it and have never had a problem with one of these anyway so if the bolt ever starts acting up I can send it to Browning or to my local Gunsmith who used to work for Browning and "SHould" know how to take it apart. ANyone ever find the procedure let me know.

took my bolt out and removed the spring tension [by inserting a pin on the bottom of the bolt ] bulled back and unscrewed the bolt ..cleaned and oiled my fire pin spring and pin ..almost as simple as my remington mod.700
