Remington acquiring Marlin

Hello new here to the forum whats your opinoins on Remington purchasing Marlin? What are some good things that could come from this partnership. I'm a huge fan of Marlin and thier product line just curious to see what you all think on what impact positive or negative Remington will have on them.

I think Remington will have a bad effect on Marlin. I love my Marlins. They are accurate. I dont have a problem with Remington but i dont think they make a great rimfire. I could be totally wrong and them aquiring Marlin make there rimfire line alot better.

I believe the aquisition will be the beginning of the end for Marlin's reputation for quality rifles.
