Dream gun - now vs. ten years ago

My taste in arms has changed . Ten years ago I'd choose an AR-15 , a 12 ga in an automatic and pistol grip , and a Beretta 92 . Now I'd go for a Remington (can't remeber if it is High wall or Low wall ) .223 with Leatherfield scope , Ruger Red Label in 12 ga and , A stubby (maybe 3") Smith and Wesson in .44 mag .

I have done pretty well over the past 10 years to fill my dream gun list, but I have also discovered that most were a let down. I own 2 Colt AR's, 2 Sauer 202's, a Blaser R-93, and a H&K P7M8 off my "dream list" and am pretty much done dreaming.

How well does that Blaser shoot? I love the looks of them, and if I ever bought a $3,000+ gun that would be it ( I think).

well 10 years ago I had my first full house custom built, a mark Bansner UR-1 in 7mm STW, I thought, man, now I can take a deer at 500 yards.
well then 500 yards was the max that I thought you could hit anything on purpose, but I've learned alot since, but about all the rifles I buy these days are customs, the last 2 were strictly specialized long range rifles, the scopes on these rifles are as much as the price on most rifles, oh and my distance has increased, now I want to take a deer at 1000 yards, not there yet but getting closer.
RR
I'm starting to chase ya RR!!

Well, my "dream gun" was a Remington 700PSS. I finally bought one 3 years ago and love it. Then I built an AR-15 varmint rifle. I have a .243 AI getting built by Kampfeld Custom. After that a 7mm long range rig. I have others, but those are really my dream rifles.

I have owned a few R-93's in calibers 243, 270, 300 WSM, 300 WM, and 375 H&H, and my current gun is a Professional "Tracker" (19.75" barrel) in 308. Every single caliber has shot MOA out of the box with factory ammo. This Pro Tracker is by far my favorite Blaser and in the top 3 of any gun I have ever owned. The straight bolt pull takes a little getting used to, but the take down/switch barrel system makes for a very nice easily packable gun.

If you would like to discuss Blaser further, feel free to PM me.
