Well I placed the order on 1-1-08 and forgot to check back in here before doing so to see if the opinion had shifted. (oops)

I ended up ordering the Burris 1 piece base w/ medium signature rings & the .010” offset just incase I need the extra height with the 44mm objective.

We’ll see how it goes, ifn it doesn’t work out I’ll look at the other options mentioned here.

Thanks fellas!

ORIGINAL: Ridge Runner

it'll be fine dave, put -10 in the front ring, +10 in the back, that'll give ya another 10 moa adjustment in your scope.
RR
I take it you've done this before.
Just to make sure I read the Burris web site correctly - I'd need to put the -10 on the lower portion of the front ring with the +10 on the upper portion of the front ring to keep the hole the correct size?

+10 on the bottom of the rear & -10 on the top of the rear?

Should I do that from the get-go or afterI see what standardinserts get me?

I figured my question would get messed up in the translation. I guess I'll have to see what I get for it to make sense.
I was under the impression you had to compliment the upper half of the ring with the opposite size you placed in the lower half so the hole itself would remain 1".

For the great news I come home & check my e-mail from "opticsplanet.com" and they are "temporarily out of stock, but will restock soon" they claim they will restock in 7-10 days.
Looks like a shady way to place my order through a seperate party and then send me what I want after they receive it from their supplier.-joy.

If I cancel the order is there anywhere you recommend getting them from?
Hmm, I need to call my hour drive away gander mountain, they might have them.
