I have a 30-30 just like yours and I use the Leverevolution ammo its great give it a serious try. On my rifle I put a cheap tasco scope because I bought it before I knew any better. The 30-30 doesn't have much recoil and my scope hasn't moved from center unless I moved it in the 5 or 6 years since I got it. I just wish it was a little brighter. So the scope you have might work fine till next season.
