Model Seven Scope Mount?
 

Just ordered my Remington Model Seven in a .204 caliber this morning! Very excited...

I have a couple of 700's (.30-06 & .270) and was wondering if the scope mounts are the same for the 700's and the Model Seven?

When I was at the store, they had plenty of mounts for the 700, but none marked for the Model Seven.

Any clue? Thanks alot!

NOpe they are different and there are 2 different variations of model 7 mounts

I ordered a Warne 2-piece set from Cabelas this morning. I had found a couple others, but this was marked Remington New Model Seven, so it should be just fine

I have always wanted to try these out , I have seen them and they would solve a lot of problems mounting a scope and they wouldn't have to be lapped.http://www.dednutz.com/index.php?main_page=index

Little update:
Cabelas was WAY off on their 3-6day ship date. Today was the 6th day, and the mounts havn't even been shipped out yet. They are in stock, so I wasn't sure what their holdup was.

Being impatient and frustrated with their customer service when I called, I decided to cancel the order on the Warne scope mounts.

Today, my girlfriend and I drove up to the BassPro in PA, and I found the scope mounts for my Model Seven. These were made by Leupold, which I am a big fan of. A leupold scope is going on the gun, so it should make a good combo.

BassPro was a fun afternoon trip to make the experience even better.

I called and the gun should arrive by Friday. Hopefully I can find someplace that has some 32gr. Hornady V-Max in stock before the weekend. It seems they go fast at every supplier I come across.
