Cooper 52 who has one?

I have never seen one of these in the flesh. They sound fantastic and I have been reading the writeups as far as accuracy goes they seem unbeatable. I understand they make it in 338-06. I would be happy with one of these in that chambering.

I "almost" have one. It's on order, but will be a few more months. Their wait time is 6-9 months on average... could be more or less. Mine will be a 25-06. One LGS I frequent had six Coopers there for inspection that I checked out. They had a gorgeous 30-06, but I already have a Sako 75 in that so I passed. After I get it I'll then have to figure out what to scope it with. Should be fun.

BugsNbows, did you have options added on the 52 you ordered? I know there are alot of Custom classics available as I type this. Just today I looked at a 270 win and a 280 Rem in person. The 280 had somewhat dissapointing in wood quality but the 270 was simular to this one.

CC 52 25-06 AAA+

As with all Coopers, the test targets that come with them are one hole but are shot in their in house 47 yard range. The rifles are shot in their stocks/actions off of bags by a human, not some factory jig. They do offer 1/2moa accuracy guarantees with handloads of course and have little problems getting that with mine.

Yes oldelkhunter, they have just announced that the 338-06 is in their lineup as is the 280 AI I believe. Dan Pickett is the man to talk to at Cooper if you have any questions. 406-777-5228

While these rifles are not for everyone they do exhibit fine craftsmen ship, gorgeous bluing/case hardening and top notch wood from a OTC firearm, but with that said they do have a higher price tag than the norm.

I thought doubleA would have one;).

Do you know if they come with the Phoenix stock?

RE: Cooper 52 who has one?

I ordered the Jackson Hunter. It has the Phoenix style synthetic stock. MSRP is $1395. I absolutely love wood stocks, but I figured if it was too pretty, it would end up as a safe queen. For that $, I want to use it...often. The original order did have the wood stock (with upgrade to AAA) and a skeleton grip cap, but I switched it out to the Jackson Hunter. Guess the practical side won out over the beauty side.

Ok forgive me for being stupid on this but how do these guns compare to say the Kimbers? The one pictured is a gorgeous piece!

Kimbers aren't even in the same ball park, probably not even the same sport. ;)
