Bought my 11-87
 

I bought my 11-87 last night but unfortunately my background check has been delayed!!! I have no criminal record...I don't know what the problem is. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how my new Remington 11-87 will perform.

Congrats, Goldie. You'll love it. I have an old (1964) Rem 1100 and it shoots like a dream.

Don't worry about the background check...last time I went through that, mine was delayed also, and I've never even had a speeding ticket.

I have a 11-87 that I bought 5 years ago.I think you will like this gun very well.My 11-87 is the light contour with a 26"barrel.Its lighter then some of my pumpguns are,so carrying it all day isn't a problem.It's also easy to clean after the hunting season ends,I really like the Remington brand of guns for this reason.I can take this gun apart and clean it myself,rather then having to take it to a gunsmith.Remington makes the best feild guns on the market,in my opinion.Good luck and enjot the new gun.

I have an 11-87 special purpose mag. No complaints. One thing my son(age 16)doesn't wait to hear a "CLICK" when he loads it, which causesit to jam. I have had to disassemble it in the field twice(no problem) thanks to him.

The 11-87 is a great gun.
As for the delayed purchase when i talk to a dealer once he said that delays can occur if you have the same last and first name or a known criminal or even a similar social security number. i am getting my hnadgun license he in indiana soon so that i dont have to get a background check every time

got the gun, but the dealer sold me the wrong fully rifled barrel with it. I got an extra barrel for deer hunting but did not think to question the dealer. I bought the 11-87 Super Magnum and he sold me a rifled barrel that only uses 2 3/4" or 3" shells...it does not fit the Super Magnum!!! I guess I am part to blame since I did not double check this.
