Pistol Hunting

Learned an important lesson this evening. If you are going to take a 460Smith with a compensator hunting, wear hearing protection. I took a shot and my left ear is still ringing, and the muzzleflash blinded me for 10 seconds.:D

I have some amplified shooting muffs, I am going to use from now on.

Thats the only thing I hate about pistol hunting. I don't like wearing ear protectors all day but when its time to take the shot, you often either don't think about it or don't have time. I have had that problem even with just a 44 Mag revolver. Trouble is a guy can do serious andlasting eardamage in short order.

I did that ONCE with my muzzle break .308 pistol shooting at a yote. Oh man did I regret it.
Sound dampening ear muffs or ear plugs or the animal walks.

Can't say it caused physical pain. But the ringing is rather annoying while hunting this evening.
